Red's Craft Corner
Supplies needed:

1) rectangular shaped paper. 12 sheets. (any size is fine) plus 4 sheets in green.
2) one piece of string (any color) about 12" inches long.
3) two small beads or ball (big enough for the string to go through)
4) one rubber band approximately 1" inch in diameter.


Paper Lotus
(water lily):

Instructions:

1) take one sheet, fold in half to make cease. (with the two long sides as top and bottom)
2) fold all four corners into the cease line of the middle.
3) now, fold the top and bottom into the ceased line.
4) repeat step 1 through 3 for the remaining 15.
5) place one green sheet on the bottom with three of the others, to form one stack.
6) make three more stacks (make sure the folded sides are facing up and not
    stuck into each other) There should be 4 stacks of these folded paper.
7) take one stack fold out ward in half along the opposite side of the middle
    ceased line this time. repeat with other three stacks.
8) place all four stacks together and tied with the rubber band. spread the stacks
    so they formed 8 sides. set aside for a moment.
9) now thread one end of the string into one of the bead and do the same for the
    other end of the string with the remaining bead. the looped end of the string
    should now be at the center of the stacks.
10) now knot the string with the beads daggling at the bottom the stacks.
11) with each layer, pull each piece upward towards the center.  repeat with 2nd
      and 3rd layers..But don't do it for the last green layer.
12) make sure that you have the looped end of the string coming out from the
       middle of the flower.  Congratulations! You are done with a Water Lily!
Foam Roses:
Supplies:
1) large foam sheets in a variety of colors (except green) found in many craft stores as well as school supplies section of many stores.
2) Chenille Stems (pipe) green preferred.
3) thin floral wires and green floral tapes..
4) Large sheet of tissue paper about 2-3 sheets.
5) large sheet of clear glass wrap.
6) clothe/paper ribbons.
