Managing Your Money  

Monday Evening our guest speaker was from Ohio Wesleyan’s Financial Aid Office. The speaker provided attendees information about different types of loans student take out during college and when to start planning how to handle your education debit. The chapter conducted a workshop on budgeting and saving money for students in attendence.

Girl Talk-Focusing on Self Image

During the Spring 2008 Ivy and Pearls Week had the rare pleasure of hosting Girl Talk. The guest speaker was Dr. Alena Benton Denison University’s Staff Psychologist.  Dr. Benton lead a group of 22 women on a journey full of discussion and peer support on the topics of self image, loving yourself and handling stress as a minority woman in college.

Politea-Understanding the Democratic Process

Thursday evening 25 students held a discussion on the Political Process of understanding the issues, what your rights are as a citizen and critical thinking.
