MARCH, 2000 (still in Houston)

Moving must be like purgatory. It is an awful thing to go through, but you know that it has an end. In our case, the end will be Thursday at about 7:00 PM when we get on the plane and take off to Paris. In the meantime, there are boxes to be packed, suitcases to be packed, stuff to be thrown away, and stuff to be given away.

You would not think that a house that is only 800 square feet would be that much of a problem to move, But when you have been in a place for almost two years (THAT is scary enough in and of itself) you accumulate stuff. Books, CDs, dishes, clothes, miscellaneous geegaws and knicknacks. They all look nice when you bring them home, but you never thing about what you are going to have to do when you move.

The Little House

Packing the Living Room                                     and the kitchen

We are lucky enough to have Rex Frazar staying in the Big House when we are gone. I was sort of worried about not having a place to come home to, and then I was worried about leaving a place alone for so long. So now we are set.

The movers come tomorrow morning, and I am just about all ready. I will fill yall in with more moving stories by and by.
