Kindred of the World, Unite!

OK, even to me, that sounds fairly trite. And knowing our kind as I do, such a feat would be impossible. We Kindred are a fractious and self-serving lot understandable whenever you try to form a society made up of solitary predators. Even the word Kindred is a mockery. Very little brotherhood exists between us.

Nevertheless, there are vampires out there who can and more importantly, should come together and unite for the greater good. For far too long, we have suffered under the yoke of other vampires, taken the brunt of the elders ambitions, and served in sects that do little other than keep the most humane and unskilled vampires down.

It is no wonder that so many Kindred who are members of the Camarilla and Sabbat fall to the Beast so readily. The very structures of these antiquated organizations based on thousand-year old precepts and even older, more questionable prophesies leech the humanity from them, leaving them either cold and power-mad or ravenous monsters. And when they fall, they take many of us with them. Even the structures of the various clans serve no purpose other than to accumulate power for the eldest, the clan weaknesses serving only to keep the young in line.

We must cast off the old ways of doing things, and see our newly-darkened world with new light. We must shepherd humanity, for one day, we may enjoy part of what we lost. We must free ourselves from these chains of Tradition and Clan. We must be Unbound.

So if you would be truly free, if you truly respect the freedom of other vampires AND of our one-time human families, join us. There will be those who try to stop us, pointing to unsubstantiated claims in ancient texts of questionable origins as an excuse to destroy us. They will bring the mortals into their fight to root us out during the day. But we can prevail, because we will be working together, not for survival, but for the greater good of us all. We will take back the word Kindred and give it new meaning.
