| A Final Word If you agree with this manifesto, then youre about to embark on a journey heretofore unheard of in Kindred history. You are going to take power from the elders, and share it equally amongst your fellow Kindred. Nobody has ever been successful in doing this before. The Sabbat may claim that it isnt run by the elders, but thats naivete of the highest order. If the Sabbat is so egalitarian, why are all the bishops, archbishops, cardinals and prisci hundreds of years old? The song may have changed, but they are still dancing to the same elder steps. Should you decide to join us, you will be hounded and persecuted, perhaps even more than you once were. Im sure many princes will outlaw this document without even having read it. Scourges will hunt you down even more fiercely than before. You will be putting your life, and the lives of those closest to you, in danger of Final Death. So why do it? Because the potential of what were trying to do, and the potential that you have as an individual, outweighs the danger. If youre a Caitiff or Thin-Blood, then all you have to look forward to is life on the run from the scourge. Ive been on the run for more than 500 years. Im sick of it. It only gets harder to do as time goes by. But when the stag turns around and confronts the wolves, the wolves get confused. Theyre used to running prey, not Kindred fighting for their freedom and rights as individuals. If youre of higher generation or have a few decades under your belt, why would you risk everything to create this society? Well, what do you have to look forward to? Centuries of toadying up to your elders, backstabbing manipulators seeking to use you as a rung in their own ladder to power, and losing touch with the very humanity that could save your soul if you let it. And if youre in the Sabbatwell, chances are youre probably laughing hysterically right now. Well, when your pack, your bishop and your ideals are all shown for what they really are, then you can come to us, and we will accept you and help you on the long road back to your lost humanity. To all Kindred, I ask you to join us. Together, we are stronger than the elders. Together, we can throw off the chains of superstition and elder paranoia. Together, we are free. We are Unbound.
