This is where the sources of the Nile are. Of the big mountain of the moon came 8 streams. 4 go to the west and four to the east. The western ones are in the following order: the first from the west is called Cherbalas the second Chemset they come together close to the town Metis. The third is Chiagonas; the fourth Gambalas these four end up in a lake called cataracts. The four eastern rivers are: the first goes through the land of the pygmies it has no name, as i s the second, these two unite; the third has also no name. The fourth is called Charalas. These four end in the Crocodile lake . The lake of the Cataracts splits in two rivers who unite close to the towns Chiera and Chaza. The two rivers coming out of the lake of Crocodiles also reunite close to the towns of Singos and Abas.
