The Spastic Children's Association of Singapore
The Spastic Children's Association of Singapore (SCAS) was established in 1957 to provide medical treatment and therapy for children and adults with cerebral palsy in Singapore. Special education was introduced with the setting up of a school in 1966. In 1984, a workshop was added to provide vocational training and gainful employment for adults with cerebral palsy.
The Euromed Rehabilitation Center is an international therapeutic clinic conducting a new method of rehabilitation for children, teenagers and adults with disturbances of the central neuron. The new method involves the application of an adapted cosmonaut suit, named Adeli. The Adeli Suit is used in the treatment of patients affected by Cerebral Palsy and other neuromuscular disorders. It offers nonsurgical treatment for locomotor development in children and adults.
