Comments: Hi, My name is Patricia, I have Athetoid CP and am 37 years old. I find it very frustrating when you need medical attention reguarding your CP and the only docrors who know how to help are the pediactric doctors. Because they are pediatric doctors they will o ly treat children and not the adult. So what are we as adults suppose to do and where are we supposed to turn? The children's Hospitals have the therapist that know more about treating the person with CP, yet we are not young enough. It seems like a no win situation. I have found one doctor who goes against all rules and has even fought to admit me to a Children's Hospital on several occassions. I worry about the other many CP adults who have not been able to find such a doctor. We need to make OUR voices heard and ma e them see that age should not decide who gets treatment and who doesn't!!!!!!!!!!!!! Patricia Schmidt

Comments: jason is my brother.he is 5 years old and has had cerebral palsy since he was 6 months old.Growing up with him to me is a privilage.he can't use his right arm as well as any one else and can't walk flat foot on his right foot.At birth he was put on a brea hing machine and then it went off for a minute or so and which gave him this challenge.the doctors egnore ever putting him on the machine. But they did and i know it.

Comments: I am also interested in finding answer to CP and aging. There needs to be studies done in adults w/CP. As I grow older (I'm 33) I find I have more fatigue, pain, etc.
