| GENERAL DESCRIPTION Pier 9 is was completed in 2001. The development comprises 4 major sections: 1 Land Based Apartments 14 apartments facing Mc Leod Rd. These are 2 story apartments that start on the first floor. Most parking is under this building at ground level. There are 14 apartments in this block, consisting of 2 bedroom units with a terrace at the rear, smaller terrace at the front facing the road and a balcony on the second story to the bedroom. | 2 and 3 - Over Water Apartments There are 2 major blocks of apartments built over the water. The ground and first floor apartments are single story, the apartments on the second level are on 2 storys similar to penthouse apartments, they have spectacular views but the rooms are a little narrower than the lower levels. The building is therefore effectively 3 storys tapering on levels 2 and 3. Apartments in these two sections are reached via covered wooden board walks on treated pine pylons, similar to a pier. There are stairs to the first and second storys. Apartments that face outwards into the marina have an un interupted view of all the boating activity in the marina. Despite appearances, this is not noisy due to strict speed limits in the marina area. Many of the over water apartments have leased moorings, some are available off the apartment balcony and others are off the jetties connected to the walk ways.
