SPECIFICATIONS
All Europe 200SX's are powered by a 1.8 litre 16 valve turbocharged plus intercooled engine CA18DET (fuel injected). Which produces 170 BHP stock. It is easily modified to the 190-200 BHP region with very little effort and most important very little cost. The engine has a very impressive redline at over 7000RPM!!!. Main torque floods in at around 3000RPMS. The engine is subject to a small amount of lag which is easy to get use to.
There is a manual and a automatic gearbox on offer (5 speed manual), (4 speed automatic). All are rear wheel drive, which makes very exciting handling. Be careful in the wet as you can loose the car very easily.
The car can launch its self to 60 MPH in 6.4 seconds and has a 140 MPH top speed.
Inside the car is spacious for driver and passenger and has sports bucket seats as standard. The rear passenger area is very small and cramped. It does have a good size boot for a coupe.
As standard the car is fitted with 15 inch alloys with 185 60 15 Rubber.
During 1992 the 200SX range changed the style of the front bumper. And added a new style set of alloys. I think after that period aircon was standard in UK.
The car is generally quite reliable and so far I have heard of know major problems. On early models pre 1992 for UK the turbo is prone to blowing up. This is easily sorted by replacing the oil feed pipe to the turbo. Probably best going to a wrecker and getting one from a 92-95 model.
All models have electric windows, central door locking, electric motorized mirrors, dash dimmer control, power assisted steering.
The car is fitted with disc brakes all round. ABS is also available as a factory option. All cars produced after 1992 where all fitted with larger front brakes and pads.
Fuel tank capacity is approx 55 litres. There is a low fuel warning light which comes on when the fuel gauge goes nearly to the bottom.
Factory options include HICAS rear wheel steering, Aircon, ABS, Head up display.
The executive model produced is the one to go for if you are UK located. As it has a long list of extra gadgets to play with. Such as headlight washers, leather seats, aircon, etc.
