Left image shows a stock 200 SX engine bay (which is what it looked liked before I maxed it!.
My current engine bay is on the right quite a difference!.
Pictures below show the ABS unit (Anti Lock Braking System) which is located on the left hand side of the engine bay.
Left image shows ABS control unit, which monitors the speed of each wheel using a speed sensor. If when you apply the foot brake a wheel starts to loose grip and slip, the control unit makes a decision to apply more braking power on a different wheel to account for it. The control unit is mounted on the right hand side of the car and is located behind the panel nearest to the drivers seat belt.
Right image shows the ECU (engine control unit) this is the engines brain, the unit is a computer which monitors all aspects off engine such as boost pressure, temperature, rpm, air intake temp, to many to list. And from all this makes a decision on when to inject fuel, when to create a spark to ignite fuel etc. This system is easy to modify by simply replacing a chip inside, this will enhance the power and torque of the engine. The ECU is located on the left hand side of the car under the glove box.
I took the below pictures just before I took the engine out. I afraid the pictures of the engine being stripped where deleted by mistake sorry!.
Here's a few more shots of my maxed engine bay. All the pictures where taken before I had the car resprayed. I will soon update them. I also had the front bumper removed.
