Blitz Dump Valve

On all turbo petrol engines, the turbo is subject to high stress, between gear changes. This is due to the high speed the turbo spins at. Simply when the turbo is boosting to max and you suddenly close the throttle, the compressed air has no where to go. Due to the throttle butterfly closing and stopping all air flow. This can in some high boost situations actually cause the compressor blades to shatter. The dump valves purpose is to vent off excess air between gear changes. Between gear changes you get a loud shooooooooooooooooooooooo............ noise which sounds the part!.

I have positioned the dump valve between the turbocharger and the intercooler.

I tapped into the vacuum line just beside the throttle linkage on the inlet manifold. (If you don't have a Cat the outlet will be blocked off just remove it and pop the pipe on the end). I have a boost gauge on my car so I put a "T" piece inline. Pictures below show manifold pipe and "T" piece.
