MESSAGE BY THE EVENT CHAIR
On behalf of the Philippine Independence Day Council (PIDC) I� would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all tonight on the search for Miss Philippines-PIDC 2002. Tonight's Miss Philippines - PIDC,� we will witness how our young Filipino-Canadians showcase their talents, beauty and intellect.�� And tonight's winner will represent all PIDC events� to show with pride and honor our culture and heritage to the mainstream as we celebrate our 104th Anniversary of� the Philippine Independence.
To all our lovely candidates, your participation to this event is indeed remarkable and significant. I congratulate you all for your efforts, sacrifices and commitment to this prestigious event. All of you are WINNERS.� Being the PIDC Ambassador of Goodwill, you are chosen to be a role model not only to the young Filipino Canadians but also to the youth of today.
I wish you all Good Luck� and as much as I enjoyed being the Chairman of this committee, I hope that� everyone had a tremendous good time and learned significant experiences during the practices, photo shoots and gain self confident and good camaraderie�� among� yourselves, and hope you will cherish this as an unforgettable experience as a young Filipino-Canadian and for sure I will be missing you all. To all parents, sisters, aunts and boyfriends who unselfishly gave their time and support during their practices, my salute to all of you.� My special thanks to our generous sponsors and advertisers for you continued support, to all the supporters of our lovely candidates, to the board of judges, auditors, volunteers and most especially the members of the pageant committee.
