On behalf of the Philippine Independence Day Council (PIDC) I� would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all tonight on the search for Miss Philippines-PIDC 2002. Tonight's Miss Philippines - PIDC,� we will witness how our young Filipino-Canadians showcase their talents, beauty and intellect.�� And tonight's winner will represent all PIDC events� to show with pride and honor our culture and heritage to the mainstream as we celebrate our 104th Anniversary of� the Philippine Independence. |

To all our lovely candidates, your participation to this event is indeed remarkable and significant. I congratulate you all for your efforts, sacrifices and commitment to this prestigious event. All of you are WINNERS.� Being the PIDC Ambassador of Goodwill, you are chosen to be a role model not only to the young Filipino Canadians but also to the youth of today. |

I wish you all Good Luck� and as much as I enjoyed being the Chairman of this committee, I hope that� everyone had a tremendous good time and learned significant experiences during the practices, photo shoots and gain self confident and good camaraderie�� among� yourselves, and hope you will cherish this as an unforgettable experience as a young Filipino-Canadian and for sure I will be missing you all.
