It has been an honour and great pleasure to have served as Co-Chair of Philippine Independence Day Ball 2002. Tonight is an important event for PIDC and Kalayaan, and I am honoured to have you join us for this special occasion. The joint Philippine Independence Day Ball was created in 2001 to reinforce the unity of the two major Filipino organizations - the Philippine Independence Day Council and the Kalayaan Filipino Cultural Organization. The success of the Philippine Independence Day Ball is due to the overwhelming contribution and support of our friends in the community. My heartfelt thanks and deepest appreciation go to our generous sponsors and donors, to the Ball Committees and volunteers who helped in a myriad of ways, and to our dear friends in the Filipino media.
