(Formerly Miss Maria Clara – PIDC)

 

PIDC – Philippine Independence Day Council, a Non – Profit Organization with the objective of promoting Philippine Heritage, Culture, Arts, History and Tourism.

 

The purpose of Miss Philippines – PIDC, as Ambassador of Goodwill, is to promote the Filipino culture and Philippine tourism, to showcase the beauty and talent of Filipina.  Be a role model not only for the young female but for our young people of today.

 

Miss Philippines – PIDC was organized by hardworking volunteers from various organization of the Filipino community with a goal to promote and foster unity and better understanding among Filipinos in the community and with Canadian people as a whole.

 

It is sponsored by different companies, businesses, individuals and supported by fundraising.  The proceeds will be used for the various projects of the organization particularly in promoting our Filipino heritage, culture, arts, history and tourism  to the mainstream –

This year Miss Philippines – PIDC Beauty Pageant will be held on May 18, 2003 (Sunday), 4:00 PM, at The Rembrandt (Alex Manoogian Cultural Centre), 930 Progress Avenue, Scarborough, Ontario with expected attendance of 500 guests.
