When you do a photo shoot and you're behind the camera, what's going through your mind as you pose?
"To me modeling is similar to acting. It is creating an image the photographer seeks to achieve."
Reflect on your last photo shoot for Fantasy Football Magazine.
"I had a fun experience posing for Boxscore Baseball and being their selected model. Last time I appeared in Baseball Weekly and the Detroit News. I received my shirt in the mail the day before the shoot. I had to go shopping that night to buy a pair of shorts to match. The day of the shoot I rushed to take out $2000 for the ad from my local bank only to have all the tellers gleeming with joy. A model's lifestyle is non-stop."
Well you must have some experiences worth sharing. Can you tell us about your best and worst modeling experiences?
"My worst experience would have to be for my 1st publication. It was 90 degree weather and I had to walk over a mile in heels, to find the photographer, and then walk a mile back to do the shoot.
My best experience would have to be everything I have done. I have noticed that every modeling job is a learning experience, and I get better each time."
We often hear about models who have to endure the proverbial casting couch to achieve success in their careers. Has anyone ever made inappropriate advances on you and hinted that it would further your career?
"This is a common experience and yes it happens all the time. It never goes past the offers for me as I bring my mom or a girlfriend to every shoot. I have worked with one photographer about twelve times and I trust him but my mom is still at my side at each shoot for moral support."
How do you plan to prepare for it if it happens in the future?
"Money does not buy happiness. I model because I enjoy my work and am proud of it. I stick to my limitations and if my mom is not welcome at my shoots or not welcome to wait then I will question the legitimacy of the session."
You have expressed interest to pose nude for Playboy. Is this a dream of yours? How does your family and boyfriend, if applicable, feel about your nude ambitions?
"I really had not considered the possibility until about a month ago when I had numerous offers to pose for playboy style nudes. I had a photographer in New York who said he thought he could put me in Perfect 10 or Playboy and make a supermodel out of me. He has had numerous publications in magazines. My mom is supportive of my career and I will remain doing tasteful nude work."
If you land up posing for Playboy someday and you have children, how would you handle your past because your children would be bound to discover this part of your life?
"I think the human body is a natural artform and Playboy is always done in good taste. I would not be ashamed to one day show my children if I have some."
It is clear that your breasts are indeed real. Do you feel that you are under pressure to augment them, considering that many models have fake breasts?
"I feel no pressure at all. I am quite small at 100 pounds and being 34D my breasts still stand out in a crowd. [Ginger laughes.] No on a serious note my girlfriend who had implants had serious health complications with them. I would not do this for the health risk. I have done surveys with men and most of them have said they are nice to look at but they can tell the difference. One of them said that he would rather be with a real
breast then a plastic blow-up doll. On a personal note, I do not condone or attack other models who choose this option or plastic surgery for that matter. If it makes them feel better about themselves then I am happy for them."
What do you think about the women who get boob-jobs to make themselves look disproportional and strange?
"Woman who get boob jobs that look disproportional and strange again I feel that is up to them. Every person is entitled to their own style and I am non-judgemental about others. I am the type of person who relates well to everyone because of this."
Let's back away from your modeling career. I'm sure our readers would also love to know about your history and learn about Ginger Lee.
"For starters, 'Ginger' is my real name and 'Lee' is my middle name. My brother named me after Ginger on Gilligan's Island and I have always thought it was a great compliment, so I kept it.
I model part-time and work for the Maine Judicial Branch as a court scheduler. I am also pursing my degree in Information Systems. My brother closest to my age is in Russia preparing his dissertation for his doctorine's degree. I have two other brothers. One is a food service director for the Barron Center (Meals On Wheels for the Elderly) and the other is an electrical engineer at Henschel. I lost my oldest brother in 1991 due to a motorcycle accident. His son (my nephew) will be Valedictorian this year at his highschool."
Could you tell us about your first date? Was it awkward? Are you still in contact with your first date?
"My first date was going to the movies when I was sixteen. I am still close to the man I went to the movies with. It was not akward as we instantly connected."
When do you go all the way? How old were you?
"I was in my junior year in highschool and engaged to be married. I saw him every day for 3 months and finally gave into him for fear of losing him. He was 21 and I was 16 1/2. He evidentally was the right person as I have been dating him since back. Although, since my I started to pursue modeling, our relationship has been rocky."
Eventually, when you become rich and famous as a supermodel, what do you plan to do to help people who are less fortunate?
"I am a strong believer in education and rather than giving money to someone I would rather try and help people better themselves. With confidence yields
success. I do believe in the United Way and Red Cross or Natural Disaster Relief. I would donate to these organizations as I have in the past."
Do you like The Liberator? Will you recommend it to a friend?
"I would definitely recommend that people view The Liberator. The articles, jokes, pictures, etc. is a nice variety and blend. I am honored to be on the site."
Do you have a website?
"My bestfriend was had offered to design a site for me. She is a network administrator but she has been swamped with overtime at her work. If anyone would like to take the challenge please let me know. In the meantime I am utilizing this site, which was designed for free. It has a forum area for people to post messages."
Is there anything that you would like to mention to all of the surfers who view this Interview?
"I am featured at Vatos Locos Web Site and The World of Extreme. I was voted April Model of the Month at The World of Extreme and was a featured model at www.swang.com in April.
I would also like to add that I wish to thank all the supportive people in this business. Without you, I never could have come as far as I have in the past seven
months. Of course a big thanks to my 68-year-old mom for always being there for me!"
Thank you for being so cooperative. I wish you success and happiness.
