Bobbing the Bed
Sooner or later you'll find yourself dragging butt when going over an obsticle.  The problem:  Your truck's bed is too long.  Or rather, there is too much truck behind the rear wheels.  The "departure angle" isn't steep enough and you end up looking like a fool.  Also, you can have major trouble turning around in tight spaces.

Well, there's only one solution to the problem.  Some of that bed must go. 

I took 14 inches out of mine, chopped off the frame rails and have never regretted it............well except when I want to haul plywood.  But, what the heck, that's what trailers are for.
