| King Kong gets shot down in New York City and then in IndianapolisA Picks clan watched the 2005 remake of "King Kong" on Saturday at Marcus Cinema as the big ape got shot down by fighter planes from the top of the Empire State Building. On Sunday, Picks members saw the King Kong of the NFL -- the 13-0 Indianapolis Colts with Peyton Manning -- get shot down by quarterback Drew Brees and the San Diego Chargers. In each case, Kong landed with a huge thud while a beautiful woman was left standing alone at the top. In the movie, it was Naomi Watts at the peak of Manhattan's tallest building as Kong fell to the street, while in Week 15 of the Sunday Football Picks it was QT Pie above everyone with a 10-2 record as Kong fell in Indianapolis as she boldly predicted. QT was joined by Blaine, Mark and Trevor in picking the 8-5 Chargers to upset the unbeaten Colts, who were trying to become the first team in NFL history to go 16-0. But an 83-yard touchdown run in the final minutes sealed San Diego's 26-17 victory. QT used the win to tie Nicki for second place in the overall standings, eight games behind Blaine with just 16 games left in the final two weeks of the season. The lovely QT Pie and stunning Naomi Watts not only share natural beauty and a King Kong experience, but the two gorgeous women each have been publicly described in the same unusual way. And it has nothing to do with their looks. In a real online profile, Naomi is described as a British-born, Australian-raised feisty blonde. In a member profile on the Picks Central website, QT is described as "feisty and short-fused on occasion" due to her lack of tolerance for ignorant people. QT and Naomi have accused each other of stealing the other's personal adjective, and the spat is getting a little ugly. As the Webster dictionary says, both women are "showing a lively aggressiveness" and "being touchy and quarrelsome," maybe a bit too much. "I'll sue her Hollywood butt if she doesn't stop claiming to be feisty because I'm the one with true feistiness!" QT insisted. "Watch her latest movie and tell me that's being feisty. I think not. She's a pushover." In response, Naomi has challenged QT to put her money where her mouth is. The film star has plunked down $3.5 million for a group of attorneys that is prepared to make O.J.'s "Dream Team" look like the Three Stooges, she said. Let's not tell Naomi that Simpson actually had four big-name lawyers. Another strange coincidence that might be elevating the friction between QT and Naomi is the fact that they share the same zodiac sign -- Libra. The babes are truly similar, and who knows whose feistiness will prevail. Judge Judy, who's quite feisty herself, has agreed to mediate the dispute next month to decide the legitimate owner of the highly adored adjective. But in the meantime, stay tuned for Week 16 of the Sunday Football Picks on Christmas Day! |
