New office building to be occupied by HSBC completed in the City, 27 storeys.
November 1997:
Construction commenced on Canary Wharf Riverside, and the new Citibank UK HQ. The main apartment building of Canary Wharf Riverside is to be 25 storeys as is the Citibank HQ. Still undecided is the scale of the 5 star hotel on Riverside.
May 1998:
Activity on the site of phase 3 of Canary Wharf, 4 cranes positioned.
June 1998:
Construction started on a project on a site just north of Canary Wharf. Mixed use with a 39 storey tower as centre-piece.
