The Dead Zone is a dark and evil world. A long time ago when Garlic Jr's father, Garlic, tried to become God of Earth, he failed and was trapped in the Dead Zone. Then, his son, Garlic Jr. wanted to avenge his death and searched for the dragonballs. He wishes to become imortal and this is why he is never killed. In the first DBZ Movie, Dead Zone, he makes this wish but when he opens the Dead Zone portal, but is knocked into the portal by Gohan. Later in the Garlic Jr. Saga, Garlic Jr. re-opens the Dead Zone portal and is once again, trapped inside by Gohan. You cannot escape the Dead Zone. There is only one known way of escaping, which is help from the Makyo Star.Which is used to escape the first time.
