We live in a society that has become a complete mixture of world cultures and world languages. Therefore it is vital that we begin to think globally and outwardly.
Poskitt's class will expose students to the world at large, its cultures, languages, social strengths and even social weaknesses.
In addition, students will obtain the ability to read, write, comprehend and speak elementary Spanish.
The overall hope, though, is that students will gain an international mindset, a desire to travel and interact with the peoples of the world and to make earth a better and safer place.
On top of all of that, this class is designed for undercover learning. My students will have so much fun learning, that they will not even realize they've learned. Culture, people, exotic foods, Dia de los Muertos, Cinco de Mayo, Aztecs, Qutzalcoatl, Maya, Ince, Machupichu. . .the list of fun goes on and on.
