Hi my name is Tina and I want to become a fashion designer and I want to go the AIU in London but the thing is do I have to know how to sew to become a fashion designer? Do you think its a good idea for me to move from Tennessee to London to go to school? Thanks for taking the time to read my message

Tina,
You do not have to know how to sew to get into fashion design. Many schools will have sewing as part of the curriculum so you will learn there. Just keep coming up with fashion ideas and drawing them down as best you can. If you want to, you could get someone to sew a sample of your design in a cheap fabric so that you can know what the finished product will look like. If you know someone in your family who can sew, maybe they could help you with that. I think that moving from Tennessee to London can be hard, but if you plan really well and set your mind to what you want, it will work out and you will love going there to study. I would just say you should plan well and study the place and money very well before you get there so all you have to worry about will be designing and school. Have fun!
