In 1990 the National Pan Hellenic Council passed a ruling stating that all Greek lettered organizations were to discontinue all affiliation with any auxilliary organization that was an entity of their fraternity or sorority.� Alpha Angels were at one time considered a "little sister" organization of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.� After the disbanding the women of� Alpha Angels continued in the traditions developed through this association.� With guidance and support from the distinguished gentlemen of Alpha, the Pi Beta Angels, from 1989 to the present, work within the Binghamton University and surrounding community to promote our ideals of academic excellence, cultural awareness, upliftment, sisterhood and community service.� While pursuing our individual quests for higher education we provide a network of sisterhood and support to our members working to contribute to each of our social, educational, emotional� and personal development. As a result, whether in the act of nurturing and loving our families or interactions with the outside world, the� women known as Alpha Angels reflect our positive energies in all that we do becoming more effecient members of the communities we are from and those we later enter.� Following our college careers Alpha Angels go on to permeate various walks of life, furthering our education and/or entering the workforce.� "We will always go forward in overriding pursuits of higher achievement." We are present in fields ranging from education, design, law, politics, medicine etc...the list could and does go on.� We are among those phenomenal women you meet in your everyday life out in the world.�
