| Xbox is the new generation console made by Microsoft. It has taken everybody by surprise thanks to its capabilities and innoventions. Xbox was launched on November 2001 and has been growing in sales since then. Trying to compete mostly with Sony's Playstation 2, it may not have the most extensive game library but its constantly growing. Xbox is a console that was built for the only purpose of gaming and with an engine easy for developers to program on. After a year Xbox keeps growing and bringing gamers of different ages new games such as Halo: Combat Evolved, Project Gotham Racing, Rallisport Challenge, MechAssault, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Unreal Championship, and many more. Most of these games have become big hits already between gamers of different generations. |
| Xbox LIVE is a revolution of online gaming. The Xbox is equipped with a built-in broadband adapter that can be used to subscribe to Xbox's online gaming system, Xbox LIVE. Thanks to the Xbox communicator players can talk to each other during the game or while waiting for the game to start in a lobby. Microsoft restricted it's console to broadband only and its particular system will let you play online through a yearly fee. Some games may require additional fees. There also some games that will not be LIVE enabled but you will be able to download new levels and other things alike. Games like this are MechAssault and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell... |
