Our first tandem bicycle ride
We rented a Santana Arriva from the Bicycle
Outfitter, an excellent bike shop in Los Altos. Resisting the temptation
to just ride off after reading Bill McCready's article on the proper
method of riding a tandem, I asked for instruction on the tandem, and
then we were off!

We have since then bought a used
Sky Capp tandem from David and Fiona Love of Oakland.
