This is another jazz piece, but it's for jazz combo. This was performed in April of 2005 on a composition studio recital, from which comes this mp3. Much thanks to the performers that played with me (I'm the pianist in the recording), who all did spectacularly.
This trio for piano, soprano saxophone, and flute was performed and recorded live in April of 2006. Also, I've started to have ideas on making this one piece the last of a four-movement work for four players, adding a percussionist to the mix. The theme of the over-all piece would be the four elements--water, fire, earth, and air (in that order, hence why this piece would be last).
A piano "lounge" style ballad from me. The chords here aren't anything special really, but it makes for a nice tune to improv with when jamming with my friends.
