The PianissiDue PianissiDue was founded in 1991, in Saint Petersburg, when it appeared in a concert of piano duets, that took place in Saint Petersburg State Conservatory named Rimsky-Korsakov. In 1992, PianissiDue performed at the duets festival, also in that city. In the last few years, the duo performed in Portugal namely at Queluz National Palace, Valenças Palace (Sintra), Machado de Castro Museum (Coimbra), Figueira da Foz Municipal Museum, Olga Cadaval Sintra Auditorium and Porto (Maia). Took part in the close of Cultural Journeys organized by the portuguese Ministery of Culture. Took part in the I Festival of Music - Spring concerts - in Caldas da Rainha, and in project " Gentes, Gestos e Linguagens" organized by Queluz National Palace / IPPAR and it performed in the oppening of the Conducting Courses directed by Robert Houlihan. Took part in the V Cultural Meeting of Coimbra University, 750 Monastery Alcobaça Aniversary.
Who is Luis Vasco ? Luis Vasco was born in Lisbon, where began his musical studies at the age of nine. He studied at the Lisbon Conservatory of Music with Carla Seixas, Miguel Henriques and Tânia Achot. He took part in several musical competitions, namely "Juventude Musical Portuguesa" and V musical competiton of Braga, where was awarded with the Honour Diploma. In 1989, he went on to study at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory as a student, in the class of Leonid Tamulevitch, with a scholarship from the Russian Government. He played to Tatiana Kraftchenko and Gregory Sokolov. As a soloist and chamber musician he performed in Finland, Poland, Spain, Estonia and Russia.
Who is Elsa Cabral ? Elsa Cabral was born in Lisbon, where began her musical studies at the age of six. She studied at the Lisbon Conservatory of Music with Leonor Cadete, Maria de Lurdes Martins, Jorge Peixinho and Olga Prats. She took part in a masterclass at the Picoas forum in Lisbon directed by António Vitorino d'Almeida. In 1988, at the Budapest Liszt Academy she studied musical pedagogical course. In 1989, she went on to study at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory as a student, in the class of Leonid Tamulevitch, with a scholarship from the Russian Government. She played to Tatiana Kraftchenko, Tatiana Nicolaieva and Gregory Sokolov. As a soloist and chamber musician he performed in Finland, Poland, Spain, Estonia and Russia.
