Scarred

This poem was written for my grade 12 Writer's Craft class. It is an extended metaphore. The left side of your body is supposed to represent your spiritual and/or emotional side while your right side represents your physical side. Keep that in mind while you read this poem.

Because of you I am blinded in my left eye.
My left arm is scraped and scratched
And my left leg is broken.
I have a pain in my left side,
My left hip has been replaced
And I am deaf in my left ear.
My right side, however, remains untouched
And this is all because of you.
