"PATTY'S PUB"

      Twas a quiet night,
      At Patty's Pub,
      While Mary O'Doul,
      Was upstairs in the tub.

      Along came Timmy,
      Who wanted to know,
      If Patty's daughter,
      Was ready to go.

      Go where said Patty,
      With great surprise.
      You've got a devilish look,
      There in your eyes.

      We'll just take a walk,
      Through the park tonight.
      You can rest assured,
      I'll treat her right.

      Have an Ale,
      Before you go.
      You know my Mary,
      Is so slow.

      Tim downed one,
      Two, three, then four.
      It tasted so good,
      He had some more.

      He drank for an hour,
      waiting for his Lass.
      He got so drunk,
      He fell on his ass.

      No walk with my daughter,
      You'll take this night.
      I've saved myself trouble,
      We won't have to fight.

      This happening went on,
      For many a year.
      As word got out,
      How to get free beer.
