"About Me"
Twenty Five years, ~Love~
Working at East Hampton High.
Was a learning experience,
And would open ones eye.
Toilets, Tables,
Teachers and Teens.
It wasn't a bad job,
That you think it would seem.
The staff were fun,
Many cared for each child.
No matter what type,
Even the ones that were wild.
Some even took kids in,
When there was no roof
Over their head.
Gave them food for their belly's,
And a warm cozy bed.
Our school was a Family,
We cared for one and all.
The kids would yell Hi Mom,
To me down the hall.
Each day was an adventure,
Not knowing what would come.
Laughing with so many,
And crying with some.
I'm retired now,
Times have changed,
And people grow apart.
But those Thousands Of Children,
Are still warm in my heart.
