"MY Memories Of Bob"

Bob loved commercial fishing, this was his boat "The Bonacker".
Before he got the Bonacker he fished on the Shinnacock.
Every August they would go Sword fishing. Below you will see them cleaning the sword fish.
The annual sword fishing trip that started as a vacation ended in a money making venture. They hired a plane to spot the fish and the crew took turns on the pulpit sticking the fish. They did so well that they made great money selling to the restaurants from Hampton Bays to Montauk Point. This went on for a few years till Canada stopped the U.S. fisherman from going into Canadian waters. The United States allows other countries to fish in our waters.
Here we are at Alby Cavanarro's Bar/Italian Restaurant. Bob had just gotten home from 2 weeks at sea.
Alby had the greatest food and all the locals hung out there.
As time passed fishing became poor. With the government making laws on limits and sizes of some fish it created a hardship for many. Bob sold his boat and went back into the Mason trade.
He didn't work on the sea any more but did love playing golf and on hot summer afternoons after work he would come home and cool off in the pool.
Bob has gone to a place where he can fish, play golf or do anything he pleases. I will join him there some day.
I will always love you.
