Which one are you?
The results of a Dutch study on the health effects of optimism and pessimism on the elderly were recently published in Archives Of General Psychiatry.  It was found that optimists had "a 55 percent lower risk of death by all causes."  Undoubtedly, pessimists were further dismayed at these findings, but their angst may well be assuaged by the newfound evidence that they were, in fact, RIGHT.
