Neel temperature The susceptibility, c versus temperature, T curve for antiferromagnetic materials* is shown in fig. n1. The characteristic feature of this curve is the sharp maximum. The temperature at which this maximum occurs is called Neel temperature, TN. Its role is similar to that of Curie temperature for ferromagnetic materials*. Above the Neel temperature the antiferromagnetic orientations are disturbed. The variation of susceptibility is given by,

c = c / (T+Q ) ( for T> TN ) (n1)

where c is the Curie constant and is the paramagnetic Curie temperature.
