displacement current  The Ampere’s circuital law * for a circuit containing a capacitor is modified as,

Ñ ´ B = m 0[ [ D/ t] + j]

where D is the electric flux density*.The  term, D/ t in the right hand side of the equation, is the   displacement  current. The current in the circuit is varying. Even though no actual charges flow through the capacitor, the displacement current contributes to the magnetic field just as the ordinary current.
