So tell me, really, how fast were you going?

So Kenton's car (once it's licenced of course, because he would never drive it unlicenced!) can travel about 500 meters in 150 seconds. That is all fine and dandy, but it means absolutely nothing to him. He wants to know how far he can drive in one second! There is one problem. His speedometer reads in kilometers per hour. He can't divide by one thousand and multiply by 360 in his head while *cautiously* driving, as well as timing and measuring. He knows how far he went (displacement) and how long it took (the change in time), but he needs to know how FAST he was going. Ah, yes! The joys of velocity!
Velocity is the displacement over the change in time Let's plug Kenton's timings and measurements into the formula

Wow! 3.3 m/s is only 12 km/h! He must have wanted to finish listening to that Backstreet Boys song before he got home!
