What is Physics???

Wait!  Stop your yawning!  Physics is great and amazing!  Just look around!  You are surrounded by it!  Electricity, Gravity, Motion!  It's overwhelming!  The sun, the sky, the speed of light!  Hmmm, the very thought of Einstein's theory of relativity sends shivers down my spine.
Now physics isn't all about Einstein, and quantum mechanics.  Physics is the study of the physical world.  Physics studies what we usually take for granted - the effects of gravity, the changes in energy, the momentum of cars.  It examines matter, energy and their relationships.  It took a while in order for all of these ideas to become laws and theories.  In order for this to happen the ideas were studied and experiments were done.  These experiments often contain what we commonly associate as scientific processes as well as mathematic principals.
So next time your teacher says that you should take physics, don't mock and scorn him, consider it!
