The Lense-Thirring effect exposed as anti-Machian, Wolfgang Rindler, Phys. Letters A, 187 (1994) 236-238
Abstract. It is shown that the direction of the Lense-Thirring precession of a gyrocompass at rest in the equatorial plane of rotating spherical mass is opposite to that predicted by Mach's principle. The validity of Mach's principle is thereby challenged.
