Not all classes can wear all the armor that can be found in the realm.  It will take some experimentation to see what you can wear, and what you are "forbidden" to because of your class.

Some of the armor can affect your stats too.  It can have a positive or negative impact on your stats.  You can see if a piece of armor is enhanced by "identifying" it.  This can either be done by a mage or by an identification scroll.  Once you know how a piece of armor is enhanced, you can decide if you want to wear it or not.  An example of the identification of a piece of armor follows.
You recite a magical scroll of identify.
Object '
camouflaged cloak' is an armor, special properties: none.
Its weight is 1, value is 1382.
Armor class is 8.
Affects dexterity by 1.
Affects affected_by by hide
Affects mana by -10.
By reciting a magical scroll of identify on the camouflaged cloak, we discover its enhancements.  It also gives us more information that we may need to know about it.  It tells us that its weight is 1.  Knowing the weight of the armor we wear comes in handy for those who have chosen races that are inherently weak, and are not able to carry excessive weights.  It also tells us that its armor class is 8.   The enhancements that the cloak has are that it increases your dexterity by 1, it causes you to be affected by "hide", and it takes away 10 points of your mana.   You would have to decide if the loss of the 10 points of mana is worth the extra dexterity and the ability to hide.
Getting back to our examining of the information found in your "score", next we see what Newbie's hitroll and damage roll are.  You can check how each of these affects you by accessing their help files.  Newbie's current experience points are listed next, along with how many practice sessions he currently has.  We can also see how much glory and gold he has and what his "wimpy" is set at.  You can learn more about these also by accessing their help files.

Next lists what his hitpoints, move points, mana, and weight levels are.   We can tell that he is in perfect shape, he has all 158 of his 158 hit points, he has been moving around some, he only has 189 of his total 210 move points.  You can lose move points from walking through the realm and also from fighting...each stroke of a fight will take away some  move points.  You need to keep an eye on your move points, because if they drop down too low...you won't be able to flee a fight, or travel through the realm any farther.   You can restore any of your points by either resting or sleeping.  We can also see that Newbie has all of his 156 mana points, and is carrying 113 weight of armor and inventory.  He is capable of carrying 600 weight total.

The next information tells us how Newbie feels, and how many mobiles he has killed.  It tells us that in his life, he has killed 69 mobiles.  He has not killed any other players or been killed by a player, but he had been killed twice by mobiles.

We can next see what languages Newbie knows.  Everyone is born knowing common, and because Newbie is a troll, he also knows Trollese.  After you have attained the level of 30, you can seek out the hidden language teachers that are spread out throughout the realm and use some of your practice sessions to learn all the languages of the realm.  You can switch which language you are speaking by typing "Speak (language name)".  If you change your language from common only people who know the language you are speaking will understand what you are saying.

Once you have achieved level 10 then you have the opportunity to "devote" to one of the realms Deities.  We can see that Newbie has devoted to Tatianna, and it also tells us that he has accrues 14 favor points.  You can learn more about devoting by accessing their help files.

Lastly we can see all that Newbie is affected by.  Currently he has the spells float, bless, and armor on him.
