I'm probably the luckiest person in the world because I have lots of friends -- two very close friends, Marlene and Prema, who's been with me since form two, and my college pals Christina, Angeline, Stephanie , David and Jeremy. Then there's my internet e-mail pal, Tim Feng who's been always patient with my lazy hand (I write letters but never post 'em. It's starting to be the same with e-mail!) Marlene and Prema had been with me since Form Two. Unfortunately, they're not in the same college as I am now. Marlene would be a lawyer in two years, and Prema is studying Agricultural Science. Once, we'd planned to be in the same university, same dormitry and be at each other's weddings. The latter is still possible :-), but I miss them not being in the same place with me. Sometimes I fear that we're drifting apart, but our phonecalls to each other, and our non-stop talk during the calls prove otherwise. They've been with me at my darkest hours and brought me out of it. Marlene and Prem -- if you're reading this: I love you guys.
Mable Tan Joo Wee. Hmm, how we grew up together, and how I tormented her and how she tormented me in turn! To Mab; I'm sorry for the long absense, I've been a beast. All I want to say about Mab is that she was there for me all those years, and is my best friend for ever and ever. She's now in NUS (National University of Singapore) by the way. I remembered how my ears went green with envy when I heard about the news. :) To Mable: Viva La Friendship!
The LICT Bunch. David, Stephanie Sta, Stephanie Ho,
Alan Angeline, PK, Rafeq, Lilee and Jeremy are the people I hang out with
and can have a genuinely good time with. There's no replacement. I've always
wondered what would've happened if I hadn't delayed attending college.
Not having them as classmates would've been a tragedy. Gosh, not hearing
David's impersonations, not being able to tease Jeremy about the 'incident
at Pangkor with Chris' or going through Steph's and Angeline's 'Mom Modes'
would be soooo boring. Tim's a great (and only)
E-mail pal I have on the internet that endures my constant absenses. He's
a great person, a person I love to meet in real life. But I can promise
you -- I will meet him soon! Oh yeah, and please, everyone pray that I'll send him the Package before the next century!! |
