Meeting Minutes
September 16, 2003

Meeting began at 7:05 pm

Erin's Corner:

Erin opened up the meeting reviewing the Parent's Handbook and going over
the important information in it.

The Assessment will be due next year by February 15, 2004.  There will be
many opportunities to fundraise this year to work down the assessment.

Erin was able to get three gymnastic mats from the First Union Center
donated to the Y.  Thanks to Christy Hilliard for getting a truck to pick up the
mats.

Please make sure the gymnast contract is signed and returned ASAP.

Erin addressed that any cancellations with the gymnastic program will
coincide with the Phoenixville Area School District's schedule i.e.
weather cancellations, etc.

Murdina can be reached, when she comes back from maternity leave, at these

Until then contact Brooke Thompson.  Her number at the Y is 610-933-5861 X265

West Shore YMCA is a new team in our league this year.  They are located
in Harrisburg but will not be hosting any meets this year.

Level 5 competition leo will stay the same this year.  Let Erin know if
you need a larger size.  Level 6,7,8, & 9 will get a new long sleeve
competition leo and a new tank leo.  Level 4 will get a new tank leo.  Team bags are
on their way.

Emergency Contact form is due NOW.  Please include all cell phone numbers
on it.  And please let Erin/Murdina know if there are any changes during the
year.

The Meets will now limit the amount of girls that can compete in a session
at a meet.  There will be 54 girls per session with 3 sessions a day .

There will be a Leo sale/swap on Wednesday, October 8th.  Have your girls
get together any leo's they would like to sell or swap.

Woodward will be July 11-19, 2004.

Erin will be out of the gym on Thursday September 25th.  Level 6 practice
will be cancelled. Level 7,8, & 9 will practice that night.

There will be open gym again this year at Pancott's gym in West Chester.
It will run from 1-3:30 and will cost $8.00. More information and directions
will follow.

President's Report:
Since we did not do the Cart-Wheel-a-thon this past year, Lisa brought up
for vote the GPO make a donation of $1000.00 to the YMCA for the Scholarship
Fund.  A vote was taken and passed to make this donation.

A volunteer is needed to update the website.  If this is something you
think might like to do please see Lisa.

All purchases must be authorized by a board member and then a receipt must
be presented to receive re-imbursement.

Lisa is looking for a volunteer to oversee the Community Halloween
Celebration in October.  Please see her if you would be interested.

Treasurer's Report:
Marsha reported there was a balance of $4785.19 in the checking account.
This includes the payment for the leo's.

Please see Marsha if you want to know if you have a credit in your
assessment account.  This can be used towards the purchase of your daughter's leo.

Please check out www.e-scrip.com.  You can register a credit card, shop
with certain merchants and receive back money to be applied to your assessment
fee.

Next meeting will Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at 7:00 pm.
