Meeting Minutes
June 10, 2003

Meeting Began At 7:05 PM

Board Members Present:  Ed Postell - President
                Ginny Johnson - Vice- President
            Lisa Wohlegemuth - Treasurer
                Leslie Soster - Co-Secretary
Board Members Absent:    Marsha Beatty - Co-Secretary

The meeting was opened with the presentation of names to be voted
on for the 2003/2004 GPO Board.  Next year's Board members are:

President:  Lisa Wohlegemuth
Vice-President:  Dianne Heaverly
Treasurer:  Marsha Beatty
Co-Treasurer:  Cathy Terstappen
Co-Secretary:  Leslie Soster
Co-Secretary:  Ronda Martens

    Thank you to Ed Postell and Ginny Johnson who served on the
board this year and will be retiring.  We truely appreciate your hard
work to make the past year the success it was.
    A short discussion was had and a vote was taken to run two
fund-raisers simultaneously in August for pizza/cookie dough and fall
flower bulbs.  More details will follow.  Leslie Soster volunteered to
head up a fund-raiser committee for next season.  If you have any
ideas or would like to be a part of the committee please contact her.

Erin's Corner:
Team Photos will be done on Wednesday, June 11.  Level 4 to
wear sleeveless leo and Level 5-9 to wear long sleeve leo.
There will be a new competition leo for next season for Levels 5-9
with a matching scrunchie.  Cost is around $85.00.  There will also
be a new team tank leo for Levels 4-9.
There will be the Cartwheel-a-thon in August.  Ken Williams
volunteered to head this up.  This fundraiser benefits the YMCA
Scholarship Fund.  The girls will end the fundraiser with a pizza
party.
If you have a metal clothing rack from the state meet it belongs
to Lynn Wagner and it needs to be returned to the Wagners, please contact
Lynn
if you have it.
The end of year party will be held at the Jacobsens (Samantha)
on Saturday, June 28,
1-4 pm for the gymnasts and a parent.
Rain date will be June 29th.  Julie will send out an e-mail shortly
with the items each girl is to bring.
Backpacks or a new team bag will be the team gift to the girls from the GPO. 
Eileen
Csongradi volunteered to take care of ordering these bags and have them
embroidered.  A vote was taken and passed to include the team
members who quit after states from the team to receive the
backpack.
Julie Jacobsen volunteered to take care of a gift for Murdina when
she delivers her baby on August 18th.
Erin concluded with praises for the girls with how well they all did
at the Keystone Games and Regionals.  At Regionals all girls came
home with medals with Level 8 taking
2nd Place as a team.  Great Job
Girls!!

Treasurer's Report:  There is $9327.82 in the checking account.  A
treasurer's report was handed out as well as a State Meet report.
The State Meet netted 2719.56.  If you have a positive balance in
your assessment account, you may use those monies for the team
pictures or next year's leo purchase.  See Lisa for details.  There are
still some outstanding staff t-shirt balances.  If you owe money for
the shirts please submit it immediately.

Nationals: 
Erin spent time going over the handout she passed out.
Please make sure you read all handouts and e-mails regarding
Nationals.  It is real important you stay informed with practice
schedules, pack lists and meet times.  If you did not receive a
handout please contact
Erin.  National leo's will be distributed on
Wednesday, June 11th.  Please do not wash the leos before
Nationals.
