opened the meeting and Marsha reviewed current financial status as follows: There
is $10,851 in checking; $6,300 is owed for leotards and warm-ups.
Total also includes assessments and individual account balances.

Hoagie coupons are now available. Email
·
Julie
Jacobsen proposed a jewelry fundraiser.
Profit is 15% and free jewelry is provided based on total amount
ordered. Catalogue reviewed by meeting
attendees.
·
Joanne Tofani announced that candy and bulb fundraisers are under
consideration for Spring. An email will
be sent regarding the possible popcorn fundraiser. The minimum order is 350 units so sufficient
interest is required.
·
A
new date is being considered: either January 21st or 22nd. Brooke will check on availability of the gym
for those dates.
·
Although
the date for the Holiday Show will change, the gym is still reserved for the
Holiday Party. Practice is over at 7:00
PM on Friday. The kitchen, gym, and Y
Zone are reserved.
·
The
budget for the Holiday Party requires $5 per family for siblings.
·
Attendees
voted that food will be provided for the Holiday Party by “pot luck”
donations. Sign up for volunteers is
required. GPO will provide hoagies,
chicken nuggets, etc…
·
Lisa
Wohlgemuth still has paper products from last year.
·
Volunteers
to coordinate party: Eileen Csongradi and Jane Jacobsen. Pollyanna: $10 gift
limit.
·
Team
captains are organizing a Big Sister/Little Sister program. Murdina emphasized that Big Sister/Little
Sister gifts are not supposed to be extravagant. A small item with a card is all that’s
required. The main purpose is to get the
team acquainted with each other. The
spending limit is a few dollars.
·

There will be a practice the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
·
There
will be a Level 4 practice change. Level
4’s get bumped a lot because it is during class time. It is preferable to have them practice 2 days
a week with the rest of the team. The
new schedule will allow them to be there when the rest of the team is there.
New Level 4 schedule starting January 4th:

§
$10
food donation per family due to the GPO by December 1st, 2004.
§
Budget
really requires $13, but we will try $10 to start and increase next time if
required. Remember that sign ups are
separate from the $10 donation. EVERYONE
must volunteer time and participate in donating baked goods.
§
The
scoring system software is outdated and a new program is required. Two options are pro-score and score
master. Score master costs approximately
$300. Attendees voted to purchase
Scoremaster scoring software.
§
Sale Table at Home Meets: While in Reading, Murdina will look for leos
to sell at meets. Pencils, pens,
scorebooks are also needed, and items for siblings such as hot wheels cars, etc.,
could also be sold. We can try items at
the home meet to see what works for league championships.
·
There
is a Level 4 State Meet. Many YMCA’s in
the western part of the state said they would not attend because of the
dates. As a result, we may have to
switch the dates for our league championships.
New dates could be March 5th/6th or April 9th/10th.
·
Leotards
will be arriving this Friday. (Murdina
may pick them up, but will let Jane Robey know if she does).
·
Coaches
require girls have matching socks for meets if the girls want to wear them. Level 4’s must match, Level 5’s & 6’s must match and Level 7-9 need to have
matching socks Murdina asked that
parents look for socks when visiting local stores.
·
Make
sure girls have their hair done when they get to the meet PRIOR to warm ups.
·
Video
cameras on temporary loan have been used recently in the gym to show girls
where they are making mistakes or to help them improve. The coaches’ experience is that on-the-spot
video feedback is a powerful tool.
Murdina asked if anyone had a video camera, or suggested that one could
be purchased. Linda Cordes volunteered
to donate a used digital camcorder.
Thanks to Christy Hilliard for donating
a new computer!
