Watching Sunset while Bharan and Mehmet sang to us. We provide music clapping and slapping away. Before leaving, we went to the souvenir shop and bought small figure heads of apollo, Tyche, Antochius, Hercules and Zeus and the eagle and lion.
On the way down Nemrut Dagi, it was pitchdark and it seems we are the only car making the way down. Most tourists will stay at the hotel somewhere on Nemrut. A man hitchhike our car and we had to squeeze behind with Bharan and Mehmet. Halfway down, the car breaks down because of the frequent stepping on the brakes as the road is pebbly. We came out of the car and while the driver tried to restart the car, I look up at the sky and saw it covered with millions of stars. Eating sweets and chatting in pitchdark, it has not crossed our mind to feel scared being stranded on the mountain with 4 men. Instead, I feel comfortable with the wind blowing in my face, chatting with newfound frens, and the millions of star lighting up the sky was a very beautiful sight. This usually gave me a sense of how small I am, a dot on this huge earth. It also makes me nostalgic of places I have been which gave me the same feelings. |
