| We stay at a youth hostel on Daisetsuzan. It is a cosy log cabin one bus stop before the cable car to Mount Asahidake. Outside the cabin (as below) you can see Mt Asahidake. It has an outdoor rotemburo (outdoor onsen) where you can soak yourself in with the snow surrounding you. Very special indeed to feel warm and at the same time feel the cold wind blowing in your face. |
| As my home is near the Equator, seeing snow makes us very happy. I like this photo of the frozen icicles, reflecting my camera flash light into tiny rainbow colours. |
