| Due to public concern over the possible health risks of RF-EMF, many governments have comissioned reports into the issue. Below is the list I've compiled, listed by country. I've included reports by the same organisations that have been comissioned to write these government reports if they are relevent. Be warned these reports are often hefty reading, but many of them do have executive summaries... Some pages are difficult to categorise, so if the site you're looking for isn't here I may have filed it under another heading. | UK The IEGMP 2000 report (The Stewart Report) - comissioned by the UK government to look into the current state of research into the health risks of monile phones. The entire report is available for download. The NRPB has published several reports on the effects of EMF, from 0-300 GHz (not just RF). These are: 2004 Mobile Phones and Health 2004 This report reflects the understanding and evaluation of the current scientific evidence as presented and referenced in the full report. Review of the Scientific Evidence for Limiting Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields (0�300 GHz) This report reflects the understanding and evaluation of the current scientific evidence as presented and referenced in the full report. The report was first published on 31 March 2004, and has minor amendments as of 30 April 2004. 2003 Health Effects from Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields: Report of an independent Advisory Group on Non-ionising Radiation Written by AGNIR (Advisory Group on Non-Ionising Radiation), this report examines possible health effects of exposure to radiofrequency (RF) fields, with an emphasis on studies conducted since the review by the Stewart Report ( Independent Expert Group on Mobile Phones (IEGMP)) in 2000. 2001 Possible Health Effects from Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA): Report of an Advisory Group on Non-Ionising Radiation This report reflects understanding and evaluation of the current scientific evidence as presented and referenced in the document. The report was first published on 31 July 2001, and has minor amendments as of 12 November 2001. The version of the report published here includes a supplementary NRPB Technical Note on the characteristics of radio signals from base stations and mobile terminals using TETRA at 400 MHz. |
