Talk about being obsessed! I love it! I'm really psyched for the upcoming new ep of Lost called "Hearts and Minds", so I tripped on over to lost-tv.com for some spoilers. There are currently promo pics and descriptions available, and you should read the immense amount of speculating fans are doing! It's a Boone/Shannon centric ep, and Boone has decidedly become my favourite character of the show, so I'm doubly excited. There are some really twisted theories out there, but I'll leave that for you to find. If you're even interested! For you girls out there, check out the Ian Somerhalder (actor who plays Boone) site. Lots of nice pics from his modelling days!

Other than that, there's not much else happening. All I've been doing is scouring for new Lost fics on Fanfiction.net. I should do my work term report soon! If I don't get to update sometime before the new year, then have a blessed 2005!

Besides doing up my HTML rsum, I've uploaded a truckload of pictures for your enjoyment. Well, maybe not a truckload. But anyway, check 'em out in the photo album.

SONG OF THE MOMENT

O come, O come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan's tyranny
From depths of Hell Thy people save
And give them victory o'er the grave
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadows put to flight
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

O come, Thou Key of David, come
And open wide our heavenly home
Make safe the way that leads on high
And close the path to misery
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

O come, O come, Thou Lord of might
Who to Thy tribes, on Sinai's height
In ancient times did'st give the Law
In cloud, and majesty and awe
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

"O Come, O Come Emmanuel", translated by John Mason Neale
Beautiful Christmas time hymn, though I think it should be sing year-round.

Aren't I just full of it today? Ha. Ha. Anyway, just uploaded a selection of the 700 or so pics my family and I took back during our trip to Beijing and Hong Kong this summer. I think I narrowed it down to about 45 pics or so. The second note would be that I'm getting lazy, and will soon move a lot of the pics to my brand spanking new Yahoo Photo Album. That's where I uploaded this new batch. Enjoy!

Quick update. Just spruced up the index pages of every section. Check 'em out. :o) (Quick peek here) Gotta love that digital camera!

December 21, 2004, part a
Well, folks, I've finally gone and done it. I got my ears pierced. Mom always said that getting them done in the winter was better than the summer, so I figured, why not get them done now? So we went to Uncle Paul and Auntie Beverley's store and there I got my ears shot with studs. Now I can go earring shopping like the rest. Go me!

On your right is me with the lovely hat and gloves Jasmine knitted me for my birthday. I finally got around to taking a picture of them! They are absolutely awesome. :o) I'm gonna learn me how to knit this Christmas. I hope it actually happens!

Let's see... in other news, I finished work at Seneca. It was a pleasant term, although it definitely was way more busier than the previous! It's also good that it's ended, because now I can sleep in. Or at least sleep past 6am every day! I'm gonna miss everyone there, and I sure don't want to find me a new job! But what's gotta get done has gotta get done. Which reminds me, I need to do my work report.

Also happening now is my music fast. Indeed, I am putting myself on a fast from putting on some music voluntarily. I suppose it's a result of the Celebration of Discipline class at church. Last week, we were challenged to live in simplicity, and one way to do this was to cut down or elminate things we were addicted to. I always have the tendency to put on some tunes while doing *everything*, so I figure I'm addicted to music. This Christmas, I'm gonna sacrifice my music in order to learn how to enjoy silence more. It's actually kinda difficult. I swear I feel *more tired* without it! But anyway, I'm gonna keep it up for this entire holiday season. We'll see how it goes.

Well, that's all from this end. Have a blessed Christmas and a joyous new year!

This past weekend was definitely a movie marathon weekend for me. I watched a total of 3 and a half movies, which is pretty crazy for me. I'm more of a TV watcher.

Anyway, so it started with The Bourne Supremacy (Sourne Bupremacy?) on Saturday night with Becca, Ceci, and Steph. I had wanted to watch it forever, and so we trekked to Blockbuster, only to find it was all rented out. So we settled with Cold Mountain. Except, of course, Ceci came over bearing Bourne and so we popped that in. Not bad... quite intense at times. Go little yellow taxi cab! After that, we watched the latest episode of Lost where *** spoilers *** Charlie dies but is thankfully resuscitated after Jack whacks his chest with rib-breaking force for about 5 minutes. We were all laughing at that one. But, hey, at least Charlie is still around! Yay! Then I threw on the second half of Spider-Man 2 because I really wanted to watch the train scene. Excellently done! We hit the sack after the credits.

On Sunday after church, Ceci, Steph and I headed to Courtney Park to watch Ocean's Twelve. It's pretty funny, except I was quite lost in what was going on. I guess that's what you're supposed to feel. It's especially funny watching Matt Damon's Linus after watching his Jason Bourne. Linus is naively serious whereas Jason is, of course, just plain serious. We all loved the "freak" speech. I wonder if Linus is supposed to be a psychology major? Anyway, when I got back home and after we had dinner, Becca and I finally settled down to watch our rented Cold Mountain. One word: BLEAK. Very cold indeed. People die every ten minutes. Rene Zellweger was enjoyable, though, stomping around as Ruby. I thought Nicole Kidman couldn't really carry the accent to well. Jude Law was slightly better. Jack White's Georgia made me smile... a rocker as a banjo playing Civil War deserter. Pretty funny. The movie was a bit too sprawling though, and quite graphic. I'm glad I didn't watch it in the theatre.

Well, so that's about it from here. Last week at Seneca!

And so the first snowstorm of the year has hit the GTA. My goodness! It was perfectly dry outside when I left in the morning. By the time I hit Yonge-University-Spadina line, the place was covered. Then of course, there was the mad long bus ride that never completed! So I hop on the 39F (yay, on most days), which runs along slowly (not surprising), but then we get stuck on the hill up to Leslie. We were about to careen into a car, so people jump out, push the car out of the way, and we inch along again. Then there's the hill up to Don Mills. There's no way we can make it because there are literally 6 buses stopped or stuck in front of ours. So me and Grace (he was on the bus with me) get off and trek to Seneca, like most people on the bus. It tooks us about 20 minutes to get there. So I was an hour late for work. My cheeks are still defrosting as I speak.

But there is a beautiful thing about a bunch of strangers getting stuck on a bus together in the middle of the snowstorm. People magically open up and start sharing. One guy was new to Canada, and he actually whipped out a camera and started taking pictures. Another person started talking about how things were different in his home town. He was in fire protection. Some others were talking about their exams, and how if this situation happened, they would be screwed. Some ladies started comparing footware that was not appropriate for the weather. There is just nothing like people versus Canadian weather. It strangely unites us all. I think it could have gone horribly wrong, like people yelling at the bus driver to move or something nonsensical like that. Praise God is was happily harmonious.

When Grace and I got off the bus, the bus driver said, "Thanks for riding the TTC!" It really was a good ride, albeit being slow and albeit the comment being sarcastic. As cheesy as this sounds, I got the privilege of seeing the good side of humanity, and how a crisis can unite us together.

Hello, hello! A few updates on the site today. There are some pics from the Learning Centre's party last night. Check out my new hair, among other things! In the fanfic area, you will find my brand spankin' new Jack & Bobby fic, possibly the first of its kind. At least on Fanfiction.net it is!

In other news, I found this cool little thing on Marianne's site, which I thought would be pretty neat to do with whoever reads this site. Send it on over to [email protected], whenever you're done.

(A) First, recommend to me:
1. a movie:
2. a book:
3. a musical artist, song, or album:

(B) I want everyone who reads this to ask me three questions, no more, no less. Ask me anything you want.

(C) Then I want you to go to your journal, copy and paste this allowing your friends to ask you anything.

Well, that's all from me. Christmas is just around the corner. So excited! Have a blessed day!

I'm getting a bit tired from work. I definitely can't wait to move into UWP next term where I'll get to live with my favourite MJ!!! :o) But, nonetheless, there are still 2 weeks and 1 1/2 day left of work here at Seneca. Don't get me wrong, it's a great workplace. I just wish there were more holidays spread out, like last term. Next thing you know, though, I'll be missing the fellow tutors, the tutor's office, the hilarious supervisors, and the crazy hijinx. Well, there's the potluck dinner to look forward to next term. It's gonna be a huge turnout... only a few of the 20 or so tutors won't be able to make it. Should be fun.

Which leads me to the next point. A huge thanks for everyone at JOY for helping me run the program I should be running! For Becca and Jeff who are helping set up and execute it, and for Ceci and Steph for being accomodating with my decision. :o) You kids are the best!

In other news, I'm itching to watch my brand-spanking new Spider-Man 2 DVD. But there's a whole pile of Joan of Arcadia, Lost, and Jack & Bobby's to watch as well. *sigh* The torture of decisions! Oh! And I would like to upload my first Jack & Bobby fic whenever Fanfiction.net creates the category (for me). Thus is my life! Sad, yes, as usual.

Well, that's all for now.
