So, here starts a brand new week. HAPPY EARLY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO MARIANNE!!! :o)

The weekend was interesting. I got a haircut, complete with bangs, and more bangs. Susanna also did a straight cut of the rest of my hair. I just hope itll look half decent when I coif it on my own later. :oP I suck at the art of hairstyling.

There was also the gruelling congregational meeting yesterday. It wasnt too bad though, although there was a weird request from some members (former members) that have us sitting not so well. But the DB didnt really release that much detail about the issue due to confidentiality issues, so were pretty much in the dark except for the fact that a bunch of money will have to be dished out to do a really, really, really big audit of finances. Oi. Im not one for financial matters. I just hope it resolves well, with no one biting the heads off of others.

Well, as for this week, theres the potluck to look forward to at work this Friday. Should be fun! Im also supposed to run the program for fellowship this Friday, but I begged it off. I guess I feel a bit torn over it, but Ive made my decision. Besides, I trust the folks to be capable of running things without me.

Gotta go! Student awaits!

Off to a raptor's game in a bit. Just wanted to post a song... kind of reflects my mood of the moment.

SONG OF THE MOMENT

When I wake in the morning
I want to blow into pieces
I want more than just ok, more than just ok
When I'm up with the sunrise
I want more than just blue skies
I want more than just ok, more than just okay

I'm not giving up, giving up, not giving up now
I'm not giving up, giving up, not backing down

More than fine, more than bent on getting by
More than fine, more than just okay

When I'm wake with the sunshine
I want more than just a good time
I want more than just ok, more than just okay

I'm not giving up, giving up, not giving up now
I'm not giving up, giving up, not selling out

More than fine, more than bent on getting by
More than fine, more than just okay
More than fine, more than bent on getting by
More than fine, more than just okay

More than oceans away from the dawn
More than oceans away from the dawn
More than oceans away from who we are
More than oceans, more than oceans, yeah

More than fine, more than bent on getting by
More than fine, more than just okay
More than fine, more than bent on getting by
More than fine, more than just okay

"More Than Fine", Switchfoot (from The Beautiful Letdown)
I definitely more than just fine, which is basically what life is like right now. It would be nice to have a little more fun and excitement this term.

I have a five minute break before my next appointment. Anyway... ***SPOILER ALERT FOR JOAN OF ARCADIA*** I can't believe they killed off Judith on Joan! My goodness... they didn't even develop that storyline too well. Kinda sucks, but I suppose at least it brings the drama. So much for a nice first date memory for Joan and Adam. Boo...

On another note, I'm kinda freaking for the JOY Winter Retreat, but it was good that I spoke with Rev. Donna Dong yesterday to start communications with the theme of the retreat and all. I really gotta sit down and hash out some details on the weekend. At times like this, I hate commuting. On yet another note, I'll be heading to a Raptor's game on Friday with the Seneca crew. Should be fun! Anyway... that's all for now. Just wanted to update a little since I haven't done that in a while.

Go randomly cancelled appointments! I wanted to post a song before, but couldn't since my appointment arrived. Before that though, just want to say I'm excited for another Jack & Bobby episode on this week! It's the election episode for which they filmed 3 different endings. They'll, of course, show the one that is relevant to the actual results of the election. And if you haven't heard already, that would be the one where Bush wins. Anyway, it looks exciting. Sucks that it's airing at exactly the same time as Lost! Oh well, Jack & Bobby over Lost for me. Lost is more popular anyway - I think they'll reair the eppy sometime in my lifetime!

Well, enjoy the song lyrics!

SONG OF THE MOMENT

One of these I'm gonna fly over the mountain
One of theses days I'm gonna ride on the silver lining
One of these days I'm gonna witness all I've been missing
One of these days

One of these days I'm gonna do all the things I've never done
I'm gonna finish all the races that I've run but I've never won
I'm gonna see a million faces and recognize every one
One of these days

One of these days
I'm gonna see the hands that took the nails for me
One of these days
I'm gonna hold the keys to the mansion built for me
One of these days
I'm gonna walk the streets of gold that were paved for me
One of these days
I'm gonna see my Savior face to face
One of these days

One of these days I'm gonna see just what became of me
On the day that I believed and you took myself from me
And I believe that I will see what I'd have been if you didn't save me
One of these days

One of these days I'm gonna talk with all the saints that have gone before
In their sandals I will walk and we will sit upon the shore
And I will learn all the things that I never knew before
All this and more

One of these days I'm gonna be in a place where there's no more need
No more pain and no more grief
No more foolish disbelief
Ah the joy that there will be when at last we finally see
One of these days

I'm gonna see my Jesus face to face
One of these days

"One Of These Days," FFH (from I Want To Be Like You)
Awesome song... probably one of the few pop groups that I enjoy. All the better that they're Christian!

Indeed, I have joined the rest of the 1983ers in becoming 21. I suppose I didn't kick and scream as much as I did when I turned 20 last year. It seems so old! Ick! Anyway, thanks to everyone who sent e-mails, gifts, cards, hugs, coupons, etc! I definitely feel loved. God is just awesome to me, through all of you. :o)

My family and I celebrated by going to the New Phoenix at the Chase. Good HK-styled western food! Haha... makes no sense in English. But anyway, it was yummy, not to mention a lot of food! I had the set meal, which came with soup, escargo, mussels, salmon steak (we figure it was about 12 oz.), loads of veggies, ice cream, and HK-styled tea. Mmm... I loved it. It was really cheap too. Good times!

Anyway, I'd write more if my student hadn't just arrived for an appointment. Have an awesome day!
