Wow... half of my last summer before university has almost ended! Probably the last summer I'll ever spend not working or schooling! Ain't that a joyful thought... oh well. I've seen one too many movies this month - Men In Black II, Minority Report, The Bourne Identity, to name a few *new* ones - and I think my eyes are deteriorating quickly. New prescriptions, here I come!

Well, I did enjoy watching My Sassy Girl, that cute Korean movie that someone brought over some time ago. The Cure (1995) with Brad Renfro and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (1958) with Paul Newman are nice rewatches. Definitely recommend them all for your viewing pleasure.

Oh YEAH! I'm going to KINGDOM BOUND this Sunday!!! YAY! Never actually expected to go, but I am now. :o) I can't wait to see all those cool Christian worship leaders and bands and solo artists, and maybe go on a couple of rides at Six Flags Darien Lake. I'm not a big rollercoaster fan. Oh well...

Anyways, it's almost time to say goodbye to the nice leaf background. Well, talk to you all laters! Take care and God bless...

SONG OF THE MOMENT

I want to do deeper
But I don't know how to swin
I want to be meeker
But have you seen this old earth?
I want to fly higher
But these arms won't take me there
I want to be, I want to be

Maybe I could run
Maybe I could fly, to you
Do you feel the same
When all you see is blame in me?

And the wonder of it all it that
I'm living just to fall
More in love in with you

I want to go deeper
But is it just a stupid whim?
I want to be weaker
Be a help to the strong
I want to run faster
But this old leg won't carry me
I want to be, I want to be

Maybe I could run
Maybe I could fly, to you
Do you feel the same
When all you see is blame in me?

And the wonder of it all it that
I'm living just to fall
More in love in with you

Maybe I could run
Maybe I could follow
It's time to walk the path
Where many seem to fall
Hold me in your arms
Just like any father would
How long do we have to wait?
How long, we're going all the way

And the wonder of it all it that
I'm living just to fall
More in love in with you

"Deeper", Delirious? (from King of Fools)
One of my fave songs from Delirious? (which I'm seeing again at Kingdom Bound!). In fact, one of my fave songs all time! And better song to hum and sing than a certain Enrique, eh, Angela?

Well... the WAY EM is over. It went pretty well... thanks for all those that came out to the event. :o)

Anyways, a short update. Discovered a quiz on the official Spider-Man website... here is my result:

[May 13, 2007 addendum: Graphics no longer exist. A sad day indeed.]

So, I'm Harry. Or maybe Harriet... since I'm not of his gender. Hmm... always figured I was more like Peter. Oh well... James Franco is cute, and that's all I have to say for today. :o)

July 7, 2002

Whoops! I realized last night the WAY Evangelistic Meeting link wasn't even made yet! That has been fixed today... please do check it out, if you live in Mississauga. We'd love to see you out... it'll be fun, really! :o)

Did I tell you my latest obsession is playing FreeCell? My buds have CS and other cool computer games as such... me? This cheesy games found in the accessories area. Haha... the only "cool" computer game I've played is the X-Files game (it was fun... but I got Mulder killed off at the end so I had to start all over!). Hmm... does "Timon and Pumbaa's Jungle Games" count? That one's fun too...

Anyways... I'll leave it at that. Please remember to check out the WAY EM link!

July 6, 2002

Okay... I'll keep this leaf background for July. It's cool, and it's Canadian. ;o)

Man... I feel like such a lazy bum. Don't wanna do anything for this summer! But, alas, I shouldn't veg here until September, so I really should go out and do some volunteering. I did go downtown Toronto (piles of garbage, but not too stinky... maybe not the part I went to anyways) to do some bed making and food serving at a shelter. That's been fun (but too early... and the beds are too inviting! haha...) - hope to go back there sometime. I also went to the food bank to do some odd jobs... but I still need a steady job - paid or not!

WAY's Family Night is OVER! Yes... it went okay, I think. Now it's the EM... which, if you're in the area, are all invited too! :o) Please do come... see me make a fool of myself trying to act. Haha... click here for more details.

Anyways, nothing much to say, unless you want me to blab or something. Take care and God bless!

SONG OF THE MOMENT

Is it true today that when people pray
Cloudless skies will break
Kings and queens will shake
Yes it's true and I believe it
I'm living for you

Is it true today that when people pray
We'll see dead men rise
And the blind set free
Yes it's true and I believe it
I'm living for you

I'm gonna be a history maker in this land
I'm gonna be a speaker of truth to all mankind
I'm gonna stand, I'm gonna run
Into your arms, into your arms again
Into your arms, into your arms again

Yes it's true today that when people stand
With the fire of God, and the truth in hand
We'll see miracles, we'll see angels sing
We'll see broken hearts making history
Yes it's true and we believe it
We're living for you

"History Maker", Delirious? (from King of Fools)
One of the only songs I've been pounding into my head... oh, and featured in the Family Night powerpoint presentation last night!

Hmm... I quite enjoy this leaf background... I'll keep it for a while. ;o) So how did you all celebrate Canada Day? I did it sitting in front of the TV, watching festivities in Ottawa and Charlottetown. Programming wasn't bad... wish I was there. But then there was the nasty heat, so maybe it was better watching from home.

Anyways, I created a spanking new section - Poetry. And yes, it's my scary poetry. Go ahead and knock yourself out reading it... I understand if you want to cut off all ties with me afterward. ;o) Do check it out though!

Okay... all for now. Hope you had a happy Canada day... and to all you Americans, have a great Fourth of July!

July 1, 2002

HAPPY CANADA DAY! Yes... made it online just to say that today. Look at all the lovely background and graphics I got for the occasion... aren't I a nutty one? Naw... just being patriotic. :o) We need more patriotism in Canada, and I mean more than beer commercials and singing O Canada at school in the morning. Hmm... look to our American neighbours for inspiration or something... yeh...

To all you webmasters... get cool Canadian clipart from this cool site I found! Yeh... you know you want some. Hehehe... GET SOME! Be proud to be Canadian... yeh...

I took a funky Canadian quiz from the Toronto Star yesterday and I scored 44/101. How sad... but the questions were really specifically deranged... stuff like name the founding father who said such and such a quote... where the Beatles stayed when they came... strange stuff. Oh well...

Anyways... enough enough enough. HAPPY CANADA DAY EVERYONE!!! And happy 135th, Canada! :o)

PS: Looking for prom pics?

SONG OF THE MOMENT
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
