Detrix at first glance looks just like any other person on the island but he is identifiable by a small circle shaped scar on his cheek. He wears slightly better than average clothes and speaks without an accent. He is a young man looking for a job as a sellsword.(Lawful Good) When asked about his past he answers that he was was found on the doorstep of an orphanage wrapped in cloth with a giant 2 handed sword next to him. "I guess it was my father's" He says. He was raised in the orphanage until he was 15 and then ran away. He worked at a weaponsmith's shop for a few years and the owner taught him how to fight. When he had enough money to live on he left and went to the city to find a more permanent place to live. For the next 5 years he worked as a bodyguard to various people. When you ask him about his scar, he says he was born with it. He has no idea how he got it.

Altona has lived a hard life even with the advantage of his high ranking class. Altona alwyas chose the path less travelled. Always toke the path a little more difficult. You know what, I doubt you need to know all of that.
If you havn't noticed I am a gnome. I have a small family, only 5 siblings, ranging from my age up. If I had to chose my favorite though...I think it'd be my older brother Samuel, how we used to play for hours. He's the one that taught me some of my favorite pranks....but we should keep those secret for now.
My family were well skilled trappers, maybe some of the best in the town. We weren't rich but we did well. I grew up not worrying about anything like 'what I'd do when I grew up' or 'finding a that right one', those were grown up problems I mean I was only 40 years old. I figured I'd take it as it came to me. Yeah, life was good, as it seems a little too good. As we all know, when life is getting too comfortable we are given a little stir. No, nothing really tragic, as most would see my problem, but my father decided to run for the leader of my town. Not only was he and a lot of my family gone a lot but our family became more and more in the spot light.
I was getting tired of it when I found some one named, Jacklyn. She introduced me to another life, I learned the arts of magic and entertaining, which of course goes along with a little thievery. But that's not important either.
Jacklyn, I can still see so much of her in me. The few years before we met, she spent in taverns and taking on little adventures. Although she never actually told me I think she's about 5 to 6 years older than me. Those years were tough for her, and I'm pretty sure she angered a few of the wrong top dogs. Which probably lead to her end...She was an entire family for me, I can't imagine how I would have turned out if I hadn't met her. She may have even saved me from becoming religious. I thank her for that every day.
I can still remember how it all was, I met her at this tavern that I heard of. She was hitting on the bartender trying to get a free meal when I found her and offered to buy her meal. From there we got into a pretty long conversation that ended with us planning to start a new life of excitement. She was recently left without parents and family, for the last few years before I met her she was constantly failing to get a start on her own. That night she proposed a plan to try out the life of entertainers, we were both skilled singers and dancers we just needed to fine tune it all.
My father wouldn't have this, he was in the spot light. 'He couldn't have a daughter that Entertained!' So my reaction, which wasn't the one he had expected, I mean he was the 'Head of the House', was to just leave the family. Father wasn't home much so when he was we had our well planned out arguements. No one could live like that for long. I was in my 50th year I believe, and I just left a note to Sam, telling him to not leave the lamp oustside on for me.
I was looking for something new and exciting so this was a perfect chance to get away from my family. We wouldn't stay in one town for too long, not longer than a week usually, we'd get tired of the city just as often as they would get tired of us. We were doing ok, but that wasn't enough. Jacklyn remembered hearing about a magic that might help their entertaining, she called it illusionary magic. As usual I was interested in anything she was and we found a library in my home town that had some of these old books. As many know, libraries aren't as free as we'd like them to be and my friend and I didn't really believe in paying so we...borrowed a couple books for a while.
This magic thing really interested me, I learned how to make our songs come to life, we could tell tales and make them seem to be happening at the same time. There were actually two spells that we found to aid our jobs, one creates an illusion of an object, which is the spell that I choose to use more often, and the other for making sound or noise, and Jacklyn showed her own interest in that one. With this new skill we were bound to find the fame we had been looking for.
This new world didn't really encourage a better relationship between my me and my family so really the only ones I spoke with were Sam and mom on occasion. A few years later Jacklyn was taken, I looked and looked for her but...never found her. Nothing really good happened those next few years, and as the trend was set I didn't really get any closer with my family like I may have needed to.
It might sound a little off but, this cat found me, and I started to feel better. I had a friend again, so I found myself a job entertaining shortly after and only good things have happened ever since. Which leads us to now.

Woke up and started his life in some snow-covered area, De'Alvish is a loner, destined to die an insignificant death, and De'Alvish knows this. All of his life, he has traveled, trying to teach others of his unheard-of way of life. Those who can understand his ways are few, but those who can are rewarded. Pawn Shatterstar was born in a small village in poor surroundings. Whene he turned 14, he left his home to searh for a way to care for his mother, and joined a Knighthood of Dragon Riders where he met a Blue Dragon named Ice who had been with the Knighthood for many years, and had never taken a rider. Soon after, he found that Ice had choosen him as her rider, and he was being assigned to the 13th Air Division, under a man named Rogar Blackthorn. After 1 full year of combat training, Pawn and Ice joined the ranks of the 13th Air Division and quikly soared through the ranks, as Pawn had taken to dragonback nearly as well as Ice had taken to Pawn. Thier prowess in battle amazed thier superiors, and eventually, one fateful day, Rogar Blackthorn died in battle, defending a small town from Troll Raiders. This was the begining of the Troll Wars. The Ice Talons took this loss personally, and threw themselves into a massive war with the mounting Troll Army who had begun raiding the lands to the north, exept the Trolls awaited them. They gathered in masses and hurled huge boulders at the dragons as they swooped in to fight the Trolls, send one after another crashing to the ground where the wounded dragons were no match for the Troll's who were prepared to kill them at all costs... Pawn's mount, Ice, was hit in the head with a boulder and fell into a shallow chasm, where Pawn fell unconcious, and Ice used the last of her strength to roll to her side, hiding the Knight from the vision of the Trolls. Whene Pawn awoke, he found the rest of his Knighthood and the village destroyed and the bodies destroyed and vandalized. He spent the next 20 years in the forest, mourning the loss of his Knighthoods and his frineds, but especially for the loss of his dragonmount, Ice... Ever since he has searched to rebuild the Knighthood of brave men and women who fought valiantly beside him and lost thier lives...
No man can know the pain of loss until everythign you have ever knowns has ben taken from you and you could do nothing but watch it go...

Darkling nerrowly avoided death upon his refusal to kill another dark elf in cold blood upon his matron's request. Being very young an nieve, he took what magic he had learned in the arts of flame and heat, and he ascended into the world of light determined to seek out a mentor to continue his study in the dangerous arts of fire magic. In his journey to find a safe unguarded place to walk onto the surface, Darkling encountered a an old hermit drow living in the far reaches of the underworld. The old wizerd was sickened by the goodness in Darkling's heart, and so with the ruse of goodness, and lure of power, Darkling was led to a place of great evil where he was introduced to his life long tourmentor and instructor of the dark arts of fire magic. An evil creature of the planes of hell would instruct and mentor Darkling in the arts of magic and spellcasting through his dreams when he slept. In exchange Darkling would perform one deed for the chreature at some point in his life. Darkling knew that his descision could cost him his life, his sanity, even his soul, but the lure of the power of fire and heat was too much for him and he succumbed to the temptation. He knew someday, he would be called on to use his power for extreem evil, but his plan was to optain enough power and knowledge to seek out and destroy the Pit Feind itself eliminating his oblgation to such a horror. That begins his quest for magic and power to someday rid himself of the thing that haunts him in the future.

Berlinder is the bastard son of a mercenary warrior and a heartless prostitute. He lived like an animal in the streets for most of his childhood after his mother kicked him out for ruining her business. Finally he afoul of the local Assassins guild and instead of being murdered he was recruited by them. He lived most of his life as a member of the guild and considered them his real family. He was trained by them and by the time he was fifteen he already had completed his training and had made several kills already. It looked like he was destined as a high-ranking member when tragedy struck. A rival guild launched surprised attack on the Black Lotus guild and because of betrayel by one of their own the Black Lotus guild was nearly wiped out. Berlindar actually found himself completely alone with no one to help him but himself. Since that time he has been taking jobs here and there surviving by performing stealing when jobs are scarce.
Personality: It should first be noted that first and foremost Berlindar is a professional. He is honorable about keeping a promise in all matters concerning business, and rarely allows personal feelings to get in the way. The only exception are concerning members of the guild that nearly annihilated his family. He will kill them without mercy. Although he is a rather cold-blooded killer, he will not use his skills against children since they are the only innocence left in the world. He will even go so far as to help the needy but only if he do it secretly. Also, anyone who tries to cheat him and back out of an agreement he will immediately vent his wrath upon.
Personal Appearance: Berlinder has long black hair that he keeps tied and dark green eyes. He tends to wear leather armor colored black. He bares the tatoo of the black lotus on his left forearm.

Mar-Lon was born in a small village and spent most of his life there. When he turned six he started helping his father with the family business and started hunting. He stayed a hunter for the nest 12 years and learned to condition himself to the long periods of solitude in the forest When he turned 18 he dreamed of joining on to the local military and became fascinated with weapons. It was'nt long before he started to grow an affinity with the long sword. His military instructors saw potential in his skills and made him a first class scout. It was two years before he finally went to war. Filled with the vigor of youth he scouted his given orders and a little more. What he saw was an army at least 3 times the size of his so he high tailed it back to their camp and warned them of the oncoming horde. The army decided to stay and fight it out. This was the first time Mar-Lon ever had to kill a man, and he did not like it at all. their army was crushed but for a small band of survivors which included Mar-Lon It was some time before he came to gripes with killing another man so it was that he overheard a group of adventurers talking of fighting orcs and giants, the usually scourge of mankind, and he resigned as a scout. THis started his adventuring career. All in all Mar- lon is Large built individual who walks with a casual grace. He is a quiet man and always sticks up for a trusted friend. Because of his aversion to conversation it is not easy for him to get along with alot of people. It's not that he's unfriendly, but you just have to get to know him.
