The order in which these are worn on the uniform is N-1, N-3, N-2, and N-4.
N-1-1 DISTINGUISHED CADET Awarded annually to one cadet who exhibits the
highest degree of excellence in scholastics. (MUST HAVE A G.P.A. OF 3.0 OR BETTER) |
N-1-2 ACADEMIC EXECELLENCE Awarded annually to one cadet in each L.E.T. level
for maintaining highest school academic grades. (MUST HAVE A G.P.A. OF 3.0 OR BETTER) |
N-1-3 ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT Awarded annually to those cadets who maintain a
grade of "A" in all academic subjects for the entire school year. |

N-1-5 STUDENT GOVERNMENT Must be elected to a student government office. |
N-1-6 LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Awarded to cadets successfully completing first
or last semester of ROTC training of each L.E.T. year. |

N-1-7 NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Must be a member of the National Honor Society. |
N-1-8 STUDENT ORGANIZATION OFFICER Must be an elected officer of a school club or oragnization. |

N-3-1 INSTRUCTOR LEADERSHIP Awarded annually to one cadet per LET level who
displays the highest degree of leadership. |
N-3-2 PERSONAL APPEARANCE Awarded annually to cadets who have uniform inspection grades no lower than 85%. |
N-3-3 PROFICIENCY Awarded annually to those cadets, E-5 and above, who have demonstrated
a high degree of leadership. Cadet must have a 2.0 Academic average, and have been awarded the N-2-2 (PHYSICAL FITNESS), N-3-2 (PERSONAL APPERANCE), and the N-3-10 (GOOD CONDUCT) ribbons this school year. |

N-3-4 DRILL TEAM Awarded annually to those cadets who have been members of the Drill Team for one year and have competed in three or more drill meets during the year.. |
N-3-5 ORIENTEERING Awarded annually to those cadets who are members of the orienteering team and who have competed in three or meets during the year. |
N-3-6 COLOR GUARD Awarded annually to members of the Color Guard and have competed, or performed in six or more performances during the year. |

N-3-7 RIFLE TEAM Awarded annually to those cadets who are members of the Rifle Team, competed in ten or more matches during the year and have completed the shooting year. |
N-3-8 ADVENTURE TRAINING Awarded annually to those cadets who take part in one or more exercises that the S.A.I. declares to be adventure training. |
N-3-9 COMMENDATION RIBBON Awarded to cadets whose performance of duty
exceptionally exceeds that expected of a cadet of his grade and experience. Cadets must have received N-3-10, N-2-2, N-3-2 in the same year. the award must be recommended by the Army Instructor and approved by the S.A.I. |

N-3-10 GOOD CONDUCT Awarded annually to the cadets who have demonstrated
outstanding conduct throughout the school year. Cadets must have received no more than three demerits in one year, have no school suspensions and must have been involved in the ROTC program for a least 2/3 of the school year. |
N-3-11 SUMMER CAMP Awarded to cadets for Summer Camp participation. |
N-3-12 BEST DRILLED SQUAD Awarded to members of the Best Drilled Squad. |

N-3-13 BEST DRILLED PLATOONAwarded to members of the Best Drilled Platoon. |
N-3-14 BEST COMPANY Awarded to members of the Company who scored the highest points in Squad/Platton Drill, Cadet Challenge, and have the greater number of winners on the Cadet of the Month Board. |
N-3-15 BEST DRESSEDAwarded to a male and female ROTC I cadet who has maintained the highest inspection score, above 85%, for the year. |

N-2-1 VARSITY ATHLETICS Must have letterd in one of the school's varsity sprots. |
N-2-2 PHYSICAL FITNESS Awarded annually to cadets who maintain excellent
physical fitness. Male cadets must run one mile in 8:30 minutes or less; females in
10:45 minutes or less. |
N-2-3 ROTC ATHLETICS Awarded annually to cadets who have successfully participated in the Cadet Challenge Program, competed in all six events during Cadet Challenge Day, and averaged at least 50 during competition. | |
N-2-4 Community Service Awarded annually to cadets who perform a minimum of ten (10) hours of community service. | |||
N-4-1 PARADE RIBBON Awarded to cadets who have participated in three or more parades as members of a performing element. |
N-4-2 RECRUITING RIBBON Awarded to cadets who are members of ROTC and who recruit at least one student who stays in the ROTC program for one semester. |
N-4-3 CANNON CREW Awarded to members of the Cannon Crew. |

N-4-4 FLAG DETAILAwarded to cadets who, on a regular basis, rasie and lower the flag at school and are recommended by the C/CSM. |
Unit Awards
Honor Unit with
Distinction Insignia. Pineville High School JROTC is designated as an Honor Unit with Distinction. Each member of the unit is award a yellow star. |

Academic Achievement
Insignia. Awarded to cadets who make straight A's on their report card in JROTC for each grading period, or whoes final average is an A. |
